Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Windhoek

Accommodation: Hotel Heinitzburg o/s     Meals: Dinner       Room: Standard

Upon arrival in Namibia’s vibrant capital, Windhoek, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your English-speaking guide and transferred to the elegant Hotel Heinitzburg. After settling in, enjoy some time at leisure before heading out for a guided afternoon city tour. Explore landmarks such as the Christ Church, Alte Feste, and the Parliament Gardens, as well as the local neighborhoods of Katutura and Khomasdal for a glimpse of everyday life. End your first day with a delightful dinner at Leo’s restaurant, set on the terrace with stunning city views.

Day 2: Windhoek - Keetmanshoop - Fish River Canyon

An early morning flight south takes you over Namibia’s wide-open landscapes to Keetmanshoop, where you’ll visit the surreal Quiver Tree Forest and the fascinating “Playground of the Giants.” Continue your scenic journey to Fish River Lodge, perched dramatically on the edge of the world’s second-largest canyon. After lunch, embark on an afternoon excursion to witness the breathtaking expanse of the Fish River Canyon, a geological masterpiece carved over millions of years. Enjoy sundowners overlooking the vast chasm before a peaceful dinner at the lodge.

Day 3: Fish River Lodge - Lüderitz - Ghost Town

After breakfast, take to the skies once more for a spectacular flight over part of the Fish River Canyon towards the coastal town of Lüderitz. Discover the eerie yet fascinating ghost town of Kolmanskop — once a thriving diamond mining settlement now slowly being reclaimed by the desert sands. A short tour of Lüderitz reveals its distinct colonial charm, from the ornate Goerkehaus to pastel-colored seaside homes. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch overlooking the lagoon before flying onward to the Namib Desert. Arrive at Sossusvlei Lodge in time for a relaxing evening and dinner under the stars.

Day 4: Sossusvlei Dunes of the Namib Desert - Swakopmund

Rise early to witness the sunrise over the towering red dunes of Sossusvlei — one of the most iconic landscapes on Earth. Explore the striking contrast of color and shadow in this vast clay pan, where hardy wildlife survives against all odds. Enjoy a picnic brunch beneath ancient camel thorn trees before returning to the lodge to freshen up. Later, fly over the Skeleton Coast — with unforgettable aerial views of dunes meeting the Atlantic — and arrive in Swakopmund, Namibia’s coastal gem. The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure, exploring the town’s restaurants and seaside ambiance.

Day 5: From the Coast - Etosha National Park

After breakfast, take a short flight north to Etosha, one of Africa’s premier wildlife reserves. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to Onguma The Fort, an exquisite lodge bordering Etosha National Park. Settle in and enjoy lunch overlooking the waterhole before embarking on a private afternoon game drive through Onguma’s private reserve. Encounter elephants, giraffes, and antelope in their natural habitat, followed by dinner at the lodge beneath the star-filled African sky.

Day 6: Safari in Etosha National Park

Today is devoted to exploring the vast landscapes and abundant wildlife of Etosha National Park. Morning and afternoon game drives offer the chance to witness lions, rhinos, zebras, and countless bird species around the shimmering Etosha Pan. This ancient salt pan transforms into a sanctuary for flamingos and other migratory birds during the wet season. Between drives, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before another unforgettable evening of fine dining and stargazing.

Day 7: Etosha - Caprivi

Depart Onguma after breakfast for your charter flight northeast to the lush waterways of Namibia’s Caprivi Strip. After landing at Bagani, transfer to the luxurious Divava Okavango Lodge, perched above the Okavango River. Enjoy a light lunch before an afternoon boat cruise through this rich ecosystem. Spot hippos, crocodiles, and vibrant birdlife as your guide shares insights about the river’s diverse fauna. Conclude the day with sundowners at Popa Falls as the sky glows with warm hues over the river.

Day 8: Mahango National Park - Windhoek International Airport

Start your final day with an early morning game drive through Mahango National Park — a compact but wildlife-dense reserve known for its elephants, buffalo, and predators such as lions and leopards. After returning to the lodge for lunch, it’s time to bid farewell to Namibia. A charter flight takes you from Bagani to Windhoek International Airport, where your pilot will assist you with check-in for your onward journey.
