Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Windhoek to Sesriem

Accommodation: Sossus Oasis Campsite – 2 nights     Meals: Self - Catering

Collect your fully equipped 4x4 in Windhoek and traverse the Gamsberg Pass toward the Namib Desert. Arrive at Sossus Oasis Campsite facing the Naukluft Mountains. Evening stargazing around the campfire sets the rhythm for the road ahead.

Day 2: Explore Sossusvlei & Deadvlei

Accommodation: Sossus Oasis Campsite   Meals: Self - Catering

The renowned Naukluft area, featuring Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei, is a prime conservation zone and a favorite among international tourists. It's a magical place offering vastness and isolation, with some of the world's tallest. Photographers will love the early morning light illuminating colors from apricot to red, especially at Dead Vlei, where ancient camelthorn tree skeletons contrast against a white clay pan.

Day 3: Sesriem to Swakopmund

Drive via Solitaire and Kuiseb Canyon to the Atlantic coast. Settle into Swakopmund’s charming Namib Guesthouse and savor German-Namibian hospitality.

Day 5: Swakopmund to Etosha South

Return inland, crossing Omaruru en route to Etosha. Enter via Anderson’s Gate for your first late-afternoon game drive and evenings by Okaukuejo’s floodlit waterhole.

Day 6: Etosha Pan Traverse

Accommodation: Namutoni Resort Campsite – 1 night  Meals: Self - Catering

Work eastward from Okaukuejo to Namutoni, waterhole-hopping for elephant, lion, and black rhino. Watch sunset over the Etosha Pan.

Location: Etosha East (Namutoni)

Day 7: Namutoni to Rundu

Accommodation: Hakusembe River Lodge Campsite – 1 night   Meals: Self - Catering

Journey into the Kavango Region. Swap salt pans for riverbanks and toast sunset on a Hakusembe cruise.

Day 8: Rundu to Divundu

Accommodation: Ndhovu Safari Lodge Campsite – 1 night   Meals: Self - Catering

Follow the Okavango River to Popa Falls and the Mahango Game Park. Afternoon boat trips reveal hippo, crocs, and prolific birdlife.

Day 9: Divundu to Kwando River

Accommodation: Namushasha River Lodge Campsite – 1 night   Meals: Self - Catering

Head deeper into the Zambezi Region. Explore Bwabwata National Park and learn from the Namushasha Heritage Centre.

Day 10: Kwando to Chobe

Cross into Botswana and pitch camp near the Chobe River. Sunset cruises deliver elephant herds and dramatic river scenes.
